This magnificent old flour mill has been saved from destruction on many occasions. Over the years it has had a variety of uses, and now, has finally been turned into a museum and gallery space. There is a red phone box there and a person was added to the piece to give it a sense of scale and to make the scene more intriguing. The shadow of the tree on the beautiful stone wall was what captured the artist’s imagination initially. Following this the phone box, the magpies, the fox and the lone person was added to the scene to create some more interest rather than just a copy of reality.
