Printing Large Scale with artist Rus Kitchin
We recently had Rus Kitchin into the studio to print some of his new work. Rus is an incredibly talented digital and mixed medium artist from Melbourne who printed some pieces for his upcoming collection.
The enormous That is World #5 of 5 piece was printed at the largest scale 2.1 by 1.9 metres for two different private commissions.
The work went through a rigorous testing process to ensure all colours were accurately represented and printed to the highest possible standard. Rus chose to print on our Hahnemuhle museum grade fine art paper – called German Etching – this paper showcases the most impressive range of colours and creates the most high-grade finish.
Rus also printed his Headless Portrait of Victory piece on our premium Hahnemuhle fine art paper for an upcoming solo show he will exhibiting in St Kilda. Curated by The Art Hunter and will be part of a series of solo shows dotted around St Kilda opening on 4 October.
If you are in St Kilda go down and check out the brilliant piece we printed – its 1.9m x 2.5m artwork – it truly is a massive piece!
If you wish to print at this scale or see the quality of our papers – please don’t hesitate to drop into the studio to hear about what we can do for you!
