Steve Salo

 Steve Salo is an Australian contemporary artist, best known for his emotive portraiture and expressive landscape paintings. He recently rediscovered his love of painting still life subjects.

Steve’s works have been shortlisted in prestigious prizes across Australia and awarded a prize in Florence, Italy. He has twice been selected in the Salon des Refusés (of the Archibald) and has been a finalist in prizes such as the Len Fox Painting Award, Mosman Art Prize, Waverley Art Prize, Sunshine Coast Art Prize, Fisher’s Ghost Art Award and the Kogarah Art Prize. He was selected for artist residencies in Hämeenkyrö Finland and in Portsea Australia. Steve has created 15 solo shows and exhibited in over 80 group exhibitions.
